Join us in the Lustron Living Room from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm on August 24th for “Mahapey Sound & Vision”, a live improvisational art creation and musical experience.
Local non-objective painter Marcelle Harwell Pachnowski is a kinetic, intuitive painter, and through her rare neurological condition of synesthesia, she is able to see the colors and patterns of music — and paint them in real time.
Accordingly, “Mahapey Sound & Vision” will feature Marcelle painting in Oddco’s living room, in live-time on canvas, fueled by the free improvisations of an ensemble of musicians featuring Corbie Hill (guitar, percussion) and Thomas Baucom (keyboard, Moog) of Land Is , and the Stray Owls band members Matt French (guitar) and Jerry Kee (drums, multi-instrumentalist).
Suggested at-the-door donation of $3 per person for the musical acts.
You can also visit Marcelle's "Visual Rhapsodies" art exhibit running from September 18 to October 12 at the Page-Walker Arts and History Center in Cary, opening reception the evening of September 27.
